Who Are They?
With no prior knowledge of the pallet industry, Jason Nitchie was asked to join Durham Pallet Services by a friend of his in 2001. Intrigued by the opportunity, Jason agreed to be part of the original three members of Durham Pallet. Over the years, the company has grown from three employees to nearly 60, occupying over 42,000sqf of warehouse space. To promote the business and establish himself as an authority figure in the industry, Jason creates fun and informative YouTube videos with his staff members to showcase the ins and outs of the company. It’s clear from these videos that Jason strives to create a positive work environment and strongly values his team. Further focusing on ergonomics and the well-being of the staff, in 2022, DPS invested in better equipment to get the company one step closer to their 'zero lifting' initiative.
What Do They Do? Durham Pallet Services aims to provide quality products and superior services by utilizing their workforce and equipping them with the tools, education, training and support needed to make YOUR experience the best it can be! They sell New, A and B grade, along with custom built pallets. They also have the ability to provide a drop trailer. Need to haul off broken pallets? They’ve got you covered with that, too. The team at Durham Pallet Services also works hard to repair pallets to meet the quality standards set out for them. As part of their repair policies, staff members will reuse all materials they can to recondition a damaged pallet before using new pre-cut material. In the summer of 2017, Durham Pallet bought and installed a wood compactor to further their recycling initiatives. If you need pallets removed consistently, they also provide recurring pallet removal.
